Limitations on access

Access to documents relating to a particular investigation is available only if the documents contain information about the applicant and the investigation has been finalised.

The Right to Information Act 2009 (RTI Act) does not apply to, or limits access to, many of our operational and investigation documents.

Other exemptions may also apply.

Cost of access

There is generally no charge to access our published information

Applications under the RTI Act for non-personal information incur a fee of $40.50. If the cost to us of providing the documents is significant, additional processing charges may apply.

There is no charge for applications to access personal information under the Information Privacy Act 2009.
