- What we do
- The CMC has investigative, law enforcement, intelligence, witness protection, adjudicative and research functions that encompass almost all aspects of the criminal justice system.
- Accountability and leadership
- We are a statutory body, independent of the government of the day, but accountable to the Parliamentary Crime and Misconduct Committee. We are headed by a five-member group referred to as 'the Commission'.
- Our beginnings
- The CMC came into existence on 1 January 2002 with the merger of the Criminal Justice Commission and the Queensland Crime Commission.
